Ok so I have done it all. Started as a web designer after college, moved to development and now here I am having found my calling as an SEO.
The Blog
This site is not your typical link building blog. One thing that annoys me is that most blog about SEO and link building don’t do a great job of explain things very well or are very vague. This site is about showing you how to build links and explaining things in a manner that is easy to understand.
I want to keep away from MMO blogging because there are a million and one sites out there all trying to tell you how to make money online and if you want to know the truth; 99% of them are shit. Pure shit. You will learn very little except how large their egos are and how the like to flash big Ad Sense cheques.

Build site on a topic you are interested in, build content, build links.
The Only Secret of Getting to Number One
Focus, Determination, Motivation and Discipline.
Ok I know this sounds like some Mr Motivator crap but combine this with some of the tips on this blog and you will get to number one.
SEO is all about the long game. If you want a quick fix then go and do some PPC.
